Mario Miralles

Mario Miralles García is a Spanish pianist, harpsichordist, and organist currently based in London. He enjoys playing an enormous scope of repertoire from early music to new music and many different formations of chamber music and vocal accompaniment, in venues that include the  Wigmore Hall, Old Royal Naval College Chapel, Blackheath Halls, and St. James's Piccadilly in London, and the National Museum of Catalan Art, the AXA Auditorium and the cathedral of his native city, Barcelona. Recent performances have focused particularly on German and Spanish song repertoire, while in the ensemble field, a recent highlight was his live-streamed performance of Schubert's Trout Quintet from St. James's Piccadilly in July 2021. 

 

Mario graduated with a MMus and DipRAM in Piano Accompaniment at the Royal Academy of Music with Michael Dussek and Andrew West. Previously, he graduated with a BMus in piano performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. He has received professional advice from many musicians such as Pascal Rogé, Rolf Hind, Mikhail Kazakevich, Sergio de Simone, Douglas Finch, Rivka Golani, Nuccia Focile, Patricia Rozario, Angelika Kirchschlager, Dame Felicity Lott, Eugene Asti, James Baillieu, Joseph Middleton, Sholto Kynoch, Manuel Garcia-Morante or Wolfram Rieger.  

 

Mario is also interested in the pedagogy of the piano. He enjoys learning a wide range of skills to teach students from different age ranges and levels, hence his excellent reputation as a teacher among his students.
